For the second year the American Society of Media Photographers, New York Chapter, held an exhibition at Brooklyn's one and only Photoville, which hosts dozens of exhibitions inside and outside of shipping containers. Now in its sixth year, Photoville saw more than 90,000 visitors pass through across two weekends! Most of them seemed to stop by the ASMP container. Their latest members' Photo Annual, which I curate, was on display, alongside the exhibition I curated from that Annual.
We also held portfolio reviews again, which is lots of fun. Different from the usual formal events, this laid-back format allows people to show photos on the back of their camera, or run through their Instagram feed for comments from the top notch editors who volunteer their time. See my post from last year.
